| May- the month of the biggest Lithuanian wine event, wine fair “Vyno dienos”. We are glad to announce that five wines of “Vyno klubas” are the winners of the grand prix. As usual the winners are wines made by „Masciarelli“, „Lustau“, „Kracher“ wineries. However, the biggest surprise was the victory of little known wine "Pacherenc du Vic Bilh Sec" from South-West of France |

Lithuanian Wine Championship 2013 was successful for Vyno klubas. We are proud to have in our portfolio Masciarelli Marina Cvetic wines, which have won two Grand Prix both in white and red wine categories. The second Grand prix in white wine category went to Chateau d'Aydie from Madiran. There is almost a tradition that Kracher and Emilio Lustau wines win the most important awards. This year they are leaders in our categories again. Special award for the best semi-sweet wine went to Anselmann Gewürztraminer Kabinett 2011. Vyno klubas is happy to have in its stores wine made by Česlovas Ramoška, who got the award as the best Lithuanian sweet wine. This wine is made from raspberries.

Golden colour, sweet smell of strawberries jam, white raspberries, pears. Minerally semi-sweet fresh wine.

Emilio Lustau P.X San Emilio Solera Reserva Jerez DO
Brown turning into black colour. Smells like dried fruits, cacao. Very sweet and very concentrated. High limpidity, strong sense of sweetness and alcohol.

Masciarelli Marina Cvetic Chardonnay Colline Teatine IGP 2009
Golden colour with some orange shades. Smells like dried fruits, vanilla, lime. It is a complex wine giving a sweet first impression.

Kracher Trockenbeeren Auslese TBA No.2 2009
Colour of gold. Clean aromas of white fruits, peaches, lemon, honey, some spices. Very concentrated, sweet and sour taste.

Masciarelli Marina Cvetic Merlot Colli Aprutini IGP 2008
Solid ruby colour. Has an aroma of cherries, cheese, and lime. Well concentrated and well-balanced. Sweet cherries and vanilla aftertaste.

This year „Vyno klubas“ has some surprises for the visitors of „Vyno dienos“. We would like to invite you to visit our stand and to try some new wines- both white and red „Capcanes“ wines from Catalonia and very different from each other Georgian “Schuchmann“ wines made by old traditional method as well as modern technologies. Big attention will be paid for Austrian and German wines. For the sparkling wine lovers, we will suggest to try rose sparkling wine. Moreover, there will be a great selection of classical Bordeaux wines.
Tastings will take place on 24th May afternoon and the whole 25th day. We kindly invite wine lovers to participate in a forum“What is the price of naturalness? “. As well it is a good chance to meet winemakers. In our stand visitors will have a chance to talk with a famous representative from „Rioja Alta“winery located in Spain.

Narimantas Miezys became the best Lithuanian sommelier of “Duval-Leroy Grand Prix 2013“. “Duval Leroy“champagne house represented by “Vyno klubas“gave the main prize-a trip to Champagne region. Narimantas works in a hotel “Kempinski Hotel Cathedral Square“, where the championship has taken place. Others participants of a final: Arminas Darasevicius (second place, Restaurant “Time“), Albertas Koncijalovas (third place, “Liviko“), Marija Antanaityte (fourth place, “Vyno klubas“).
