More about Grand Cru dinners:
For 20 years in April or May, we have been hosting elegant dinners dedicated to the best French wines with Grand Cru status.
According to French law, such wines are made only in Bordeaux, Burgundy, Alsace, Champagne, and Provance.
We always choose mature red wines that fully reveal their best qualities, sometimes complementing the dinner with white wine, champagne, and always some sweet wine.
This year's dinner is special because it will be accompanied by stories about the wines from the co-owner himself - Peer Pfeiffer, a representative of a family that manages several Bordeaux estates and wine merchant companies.
Thanks to him, the wine comes directly from the cellars of Grands Crus estates in Pauillac and Saint-Émilion, so the condition of the bottles is excellent, and the quality illustrates some of the best harvests of recent years: 1990, 2010, 2015, 2006, and others.
The dishes will be prepared and matched with the wines by the chef of the "Pacai" restaurant, Goda Juknaitė - a creative chef who grew up whitin the restaurant, perfectly understanding the "Pacai" DNA andconstantly enriching the menu with creative elements.
The dinner will be hosted by Rasa and Arūnas Starkai - the organizers of the "Vyno dienos" exhibition and experts in French wine.
