Ingredients: water; barley malts; hops; beer yeast.
This beer is full bodied pilsner. We brewed it using 100% Lithuanian pilsner malt. Of course – decoction mashing method was involved into the process. But why we call it “double decocted”? Standard decoction process involves separately boiling a part of your mash, this way creating richer and more caramelized beer wort. Along with this method we used authentic Lithuanian “keptinis” brewing technology when part of your mash (in some cases even entire mash) is baked in wood fired owen, creating darker and toasty flavoured wort. For this instance around 20% of the total grist were done the “keptinis” way.
The final result – malty but well balanced pilsner, brewed using authentic brewing techniques. Continental hops balance out the sweetness of this beer and give it a subtle flower like aroma.
