Amarone Classico is made from grapes that are harvested at the entrance of the Marano valley. Vines age varies from 40 to 10 years old. The careful selection of the grapes and the strict management of the 120 days drying process are of extreme importance for this wine. Aging in wooden barrels for 3 years - 1 year in small wooden barrels and 2 years in large wooden barrels. Bright red. The clean aromas of red cherry and berries are enhanced by a floral touch. Initially sweet with a nice glycerine sensation in the mouth, it follows a slightly bitter note with a noticeable tannic bite on the lively flavours of red fruits. Classically dry finishes with a hint of heat derived from the significant alcoholic content.

Wine Advocate From a classic vintage, the Brigaldara 2016 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico offers elegance and power (with a hearty 16.5% alcohol content). The wine is redolent of dried fruit, baked cherry and plum, as well as sweet spice and tobacco. The density is not overblown, and indeed, the wine is full-bodied but not in an overwhelming sense like you might anticipate. The mouthfeel is smooth and velvety. The XX century marks the beginning of Brigaldara as we know it today. In 1928, Renzo Cesari purchases Brigaldara. With his son Lamberto, he specializes in viticulture with love and passion. The greatest impulse takes place in the 80s, when the direction passes into the hands of Stefano, Renzo's grandson, who starts a long-lasting collaboration with Roberto Ferrarini, perhaps one of the most important innovators in the history of Amarone and Valpolicella.
