Lapierre's brand new Le Beaujolais wine is the young brother of the Morgon appellation wines. The wine is made from 50-80 year old vines growing on granitic gravel soil but located outside the Cru. Fermentation with native yeast, less sulphites, unfiltered. This is a lighter and more immediate expression of Gamay for the previous drink, but it has enough depth and body, with aromas of ripe cherries, plums, oregano, violets. Fresh, smooth tannins.
Serve at 14-16 °C with roast duck dishes, grilled tuna.
