The wine, aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, has a rather intense black cherry color. A refreshing and mineral aroma is a sign of high quality harvest. The aroma is dominated by dark forest berries, a little licorice, Earl Gray tea, leather and vanilla. In the mouth, the wine is dry, with juicy acid, medium polished tannins, a bright fruity taste and a long aftertaste of sweet spices. Excellent balance and strong enough structure - good maturity potential.
Serve at 14-16 °C with lamb steak, duck breast or venison with cranberry sauce.
