Carefully selected Moscato bianco grapes from sparse bunch native clones. Maceration of the skins for about 2 days, fermentation in steel tanks at a low temperature (14-16 °C). Aged in Slavonian oak casks for about 1 year, followed by ageing in bottles for at least 6-12 months.Intense golden colour. Characteristic moscato, with intense aroma of acacia honey, apricors, pears and candied fruit. In the mouth sweet, but well balanced by the acidity, well-structured and pleasant, complex, charcteristic aftertaste.
Serve at 8-10 °C with biscuits, aged and/or cheese with herbs, liver pâté.
The Capanna farm, owned by the Cencioni family since 1957, is situated in the Montosoli area, to the north of Montalcino. It was founded by Giuseppe Cencioni and, helped by his sons Benito and Franco, it was one of the first farms of the modern period of Brunello. They started bottling their own wines in the 1960's and after Brunello di Montalcino was granted DOC status in 1966, Giuseppe was one of the 25 founders of the Consorzio del Vino Brunello di Montalcino.All products by this producer
