Vines grow on the Muschelkalk limestone soil with the average age of 28 years. Fermentations are very slow, and the wines spend a minimum of 6 months on the total lees. The wines are bottled between 12 and 24 months after the harvest. Light yellow color. The nose gives off an immediate impression of aromas of ripe white fruits (peach, pear) and citrus, with an almost “Riesling” character. The palate is refined, elegant and the well-structured finish adds to the complexity of the wine. Good length, medium power.
Serve at 8-10 °C with sushi, fish rice or as aperitif.
James Suckling Here’s a stunning wine for lovers of rich Alsace pinot gris, the very lively acidity enabling it to carry a hint of sweetness without any trouble at all. Serious, chalky structure behind all the flesh and wonderfully bright citrus character at the powerful finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold. Įvertinimas: 94
